DataSuite for digital contents

Bitext also offers DataSuite, an environment for managing digital contents, for example, for editing electronic dictionaries and reference materials. With DataSuite, integrators can develop lemmatizers, conjugators, spell checkers, monolingual and multilingual synonym managers, etc.

DataSuite includes the following components:

• DataSpell, for spelling correction: DataSpell determines whether or not a word is correct in a specific language and, if it is not correct, it suggests alternatives. For example, for the Spanish word “immobiliario” it will offer “inmobiliario”. It is a flexible component and fully configurable so that it can be integrated with third-party applications like search engines. Bitext includes the Spanish spell checker DataSpell in NaturalFinder, with more than 3 million correctly codified words.
• DataLexica, for lemmatization and conjugation: DataLexica returns the lemma or root of a word along with its morphological information. For example, given the Spanish word “casa” DataLexica will return the following morphological information:
• Its root, “casa”, is a feminine singular noun.
• As a form, it is the third person of the present tense in indicative mood of the verb “casar” (and “casarse”)
• Other forms of the verb “casar” are “casando, casado, casada, casados, casadas, caso, casas…”
• DataNet, for managing semantic relations: DataNet allows for the codification of the semantic relations among words. For example, we can specify that the words “auto” and “coche” are related because of their similar meaning; or we can specify that “auto” is also a type of judicial process, or that Italy is part of Europe, etc.
• DataGrammar is a component which along with DataLexica enables the intelligent analysis of texts. For example, in a search engine DataGrammar allows the user to query in his/her own language: “information about the civil rights movement” “tropical paradises which are not in the Caribbean” “how to protect your hearing at concerts”
